Did you have any luck repairing the damaged traces? Some other things to look for may be corrosion/dirt on the metal contacts with the chips. Also, I noticed the error message mentioned a “fillgun” - I managed to find this:https://www.cryptomuseum.com/crypto/marconi/scimitar/fill.htm
Perhaps...
Good work! Presumably the route modifiers also contain the stopping pattern information - stopper/semi fast/express. I would guess that this information was then transmitted to the EPROMs in the announcement panel. My understanding was that the announcements were programmed to the number of...
No worries. Also spotted on ebay a photograph of the Networker Express test train - it has a slightly different version of the internal PIS unit.

That's a good idea - it would be very annoying to forget something that took ages to find! I wonder if it...
How many codes have you tried? Perhaps try higher numbers e.g. 501, 502, 801, 802 etc. If the unit was in use in 2013, it will have been used certainly by FCC. My only other idea is that for some reason the software has been reverted to its original state for some reason.

Yes they had the internal dot matrix displays from new, but only the driver could make announcements. I managed to find a video from the 1990s showing what the interior screens looked like. Go to 33:07:-
I don’t think so – even on the 465 video you posted, they are not original as the 465s never had auto announcements from new. I believe the audio files are actually from the ADtranz system used in the 375s – a later version of the ABB system used in the 365s, so there are some similarities. The...
Very interesting- I did think that could be the case when I saw the sticker “Software not compatible with Hornsey”. Do the EPROMs in the destination box have labels? Considering the announcement ones contain both Great Northern and Connex I wouldn't be surprised if the destination box was the...
