Oyster – night bus / hopper fare

Just wondered if anybody on here knows whether in the following circumstances the 04:30 transport day change for fares purposes is relevant. This is for TfL travel only, within London, Oyster not contactless, bus only. Board night bus at 0400 Board second night bus at 0450 The 0430 day...

    Expecting a Maltese Cross

Just a word of warning about this, you don’t mention when you’re travelling, but this weekend I believe there may be no Elizabeth line in the central London core area. Further information here...

ToD on Elizabeth Line core TVMs?

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen signs at Tottenham Court Road Elizabeth line stating very definitely that ticket on departure (ToD) is not available. I assume Bond Street is the same. Happy to be corrected

Can I do better than £29.66 doing a Z6-Reading excess?

Here are the boundary zone 6 to Reading fares. You can search either with or without a discount by changing the railcard / discount box To go from Paddington via West Drayton to Reading you’ll need the via Slough option. https://www.brfares.com/!fares?orig=QAJ&dest=RDG&period=20240401

Does LU have a problem accepting cash at present or is this a trial?

Just enclosing some images from a tube station ticket hall I passed through today. For clarity, there are three machines, two small, which usually accept coins and cards but no notes, one large which usually accepts notes, coins and cards. All now have signs suggesting that - until further...

From Train passengers have won £25million in the UK's largest ever class action lawsuit payout after they were overcharged for their tickets. An estimated 1.4 million people who travelled on mainline trains operated by Stagecoach South Western Trains (SSWT) to Waterloo are in line for up to...

Using e-ticket and starting short - what do guards / RPIs do?

    Network railcard 10am question

Condition 4.2 states (my bold) So I’d say yes to a late running train. Wait for others though to see if there’s a consensus https://www.network-railcard.co.uk/help/railcard-terms-conditions/

Using e-ticket and starting short - what do guards / RPIs do?

Following on from this thread https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/ticket-on-train-confusion-penalty-fare.265255/ Whenever I need to start a journey short (ie my ticket is valid from stations before the point at which I board the train) I always buy paper tickets to avoid the issues...

    Concessionary pass remuneration

The 1 in 5 “million pounds plus” households are probably in London, Greater London and se England with most of that tied up in their property. They are possibly cash poor in properties they can’t or don’t wish to sell (bc it’s their lifelong home) and have high running costs. They may have...

No more cheap Advance tickets on 07:59 Eastbourne to London Victoria?

I think this makes sense, but what’s unfortunate is that advance fares are marketed to passengers by the industry as fares like any other which just offer increased restrictions in return for a reduced price when bought in advance with the idea that the longer in advance you book, the bigger the...

Refunds to Oyster Web Account no longer available.

This was from an email sent to me by TfL when I asked if I could have the refund to my web account. They said that unfortunately it’s no longer an option. I haven’t seen it documented online but they have now refunded to my bank account.
