CAF Civity for TfW: News and updates on introduction.

Believe everything that could be was shortformed and a Liverpool had to be cancelled too so by then that 1 unit would be cancelled somewhere. Belive there was ticket acceptance on the local bus service and some ad-hoc taxis where needed.

Ex LNER (and Grand Central) Mark 4 sets for TfW

67020 is being given another chance tomorrow, its planned to take HD01 to Canton to act as both a loaded test run for the 67 after last week's issues and to get the rake to Canton for tyre turning. The next few days should see a full ex-GC fleet out with HD04-07 covering the diagrams, HD03 on...

CAF Civity for TfW: News and updates on introduction.

I'd very much doubt anyone would be in a position to publicly say that publicly even if they knew. The contracts between CAF/TfW and the leasing company will cover all that. 1716105957 Seems today's 197 shortage has been largely worked around, a couple of shortforms here and there but not as bad...

That was covering a 150 diagram, it's not booked 158.

If the Donnington ones were released from there they'd simply join the queue waiting to be accepted. Now the non-ertms are nearly all accepted it would be good to see some of those released in the near future. It depends how they can run with ERTMS out of use whether they can be used in service...

CAF Civity for TfW: News and updates on introduction.

Looking purely at Fri/Sat/Sun this weekend 158s look to have 20 weekday, 19 Saturday and 19 Sunday diagrams 197/0s have 25 weekday, 21 Saturday and 21 Sunday, the 197/1s have 14 weekday, 14 Saturday and 9 Sunday as it stands 1716067639 If they stick to diagram all day, 2. The one which does the...

CAF Civity for TfW: News and updates on introduction.

Don't think quite that bad, it's 10 units stopped over what's normally maintenance/exam I believe, some of the slack may be taken out with some swapping or using what would be static diagrams. Today has seen the Blaneau cancelled completely with no unit all day and some 15x substituting, 150/153...

CAF Civity for TfW: News and updates on introduction.

If they go through the way theyve been accepted recently those could be done in just over a week! 4 this week I believe. Very hit and miss though how quickly they come through. Strangely even with all the extra units this week and not the upturn in diagrams there's quite a shortage of 197s...

CAF Civity for TfW: News and updates on introduction.

Some 6 week blocks have seen 0 or 1 being accepted. There's still 26 197s to accept, there's a low chance they'll be accepted in 6 months, 6 weeks is no chance.

Yes first day for that one, so the 05:42 was its first working.

Ex LNER (and Grand Central) Mark 4 sets for TfW

To be honest the most concerning thing about the past week is that not one set was on any form of improvement programme, 5 car or anything, just exams and failures. The locos haven't been a particular problem either but the rakes have been. When there were sets missing for improvements there...

Frustratingly that does seem to be the way, the good weeks have got better but a lot of the time the bad weeks have got worse. If the bad weeks can be improved then they'll getting somewhere!!

Ex LNER (and Grand Central) Mark 4 sets for TfW

Looks to be booked out this morning on a test run to get it out in service this afternoon now. 1715942568 Unfortunately that certainly has been the case. Some decisions were made this Week for balancing/exam requirements which I'm sure at the time they were made were the best option but as it...

Ex LNER (and Grand Central) Mark 4 sets for TfW

Would appear that HD04 was reported for poor performance on Tuesday night that's why it didn't go out this morning, it's hoped to get it back out on 1V33 tomorrow, if not it should swap in on 1W50 at 15:30 from Crewe. HD06 is still also planned to re-enter service from Holyhead in the morning...

Ex LNER (and Grand Central) Mark 4 sets for TfW

67020 has now come off HD02 being replaced by 67012, should be heading out on a test run later. As no set finishes in Cardiff tonight the whole diagram 1W11/1V37/1W96 tomorrow will be a unit, its now planned to swap HD06 back in on Friday morning out of Holyhead. On Friday everything is then...
