Update to above. 507003 and 507016 have been split from each other. 507016 (solo) is currently on 1542 ex Southport, and should continue with 1651 ex Hunts Cross, 1812 ex Southport etc. 507003 (solo) is at Southport expected to work 1557 ex Southport, 1706 ex Hunts Cross, 1827 ex Southport...

As others have said, Cobh is certainly worth visiting. And as for it being on the Atlantic Coast, below is a pic (my own) of unit 2601 leaving Cobh station, taken in 2012. Quite near the coast!

Point of order. The borough of Sefton (itself within the county of Merseyside) includes Southport, which has never returned a Labour MP. It is generally regarded as a Conservative / Lib Dem marginal. Most recently: 1987 - 1992 Lib Dem 1992 - 1997 Conservative 1997 - 2017 Lib Dem 2017 to date...
