Norwich to Stansted Airport services do have a guard throughout the whole journey (although real time trains incorrectly states they don't - GA do allow DOO operation south of Cambridge during disruption)

When the down sleeper is routed via Honiton eg. Sunday 28th April and loco has to run round at Exeter does the ECS stock run into Paddington wrong way round (sleeping cars London end) to enable it to arrive at Penzance the normal way round ?

Probably silly question - I take it your ringing GWR (0345 700 0125) and selecting Sleeper booking option ? I've booked berth only supplements this way several times in last 12 months.

When OD equipment was first introduced on Norwich - Ely line they were too sensitive and caused lots of delays.

Sleeper staff will be used to booking system doing that, however another workaround is put via Penzance into website (routeing easement) then you can use showers etc. as above.

You can see the same with GWR on Friday for Paddington to Penzance handful of First Advance left only, I do think it's unrealistic to hope to see many seats left now on Bank Hol. weekend 2 days away, of course the difference being you can still buy a Super Off Peak ticket and stand which LNER...

1002 to Penzance has run, departed Paddington 30 minutes late & further delayed en route but is now approaching Plymouth (Hemerdon).

I think EMR's cancelled/late running Norwich services are starting to grate on Greater Anglia (and to a lesser extent Cross Country's Stansted Airport cancellations - due partly to removing driver route knowledge at a depot)

Yes would make sense for normal ticket quotas but there is only 16 single cabins on that service so did dummy booking and all still available priced at lowest tier (£42.50) at that time.

Looked at Sleeper berth prices for end of April on mixing desk (bookings opened today), noticed prices at lowest tier available for both single and twin berth cabins. Looked about hour later they had jumped up in price, then looked again recently they'd gone back down again ?? What could cause...
