In February, I spent a few days in the hotel at Alp Grüm station on the Rhaetian Railway.
As expected, the weather changed from "sunny" to "heavy snowfall" the moment I arrived. Nevertheless, here are some impressions of the long weekend in one of my favourite places.
The snow blower with the matching diesel locomotive served as an alarm clock the next morning.
A little "constipation" had to be cleared before the journey could continue.
A little warning for snowshoe hikers. In any case, not a recommended undertaking in these conditions with an unstable layer of fresh snow. The areas that are at risk from artificially triggered avalanches are marked on the map. The explosions are clearly audible early in the morning.
