South Yorkshire station usage drop in 2013

I am currently looking into rail station usage (entries and exits) between 2010 and 2019 in South Yorkshire (Adwick, Barnsley, Doncaster, Conisbrough, Darnall, DoDorth, Elsecar, Goldthorpe, Kirk Sandal).

There was a trend of station usage increasing over this period, however in 2013 the usage dropped, which does not fit with the rest of the data.

Was there a reason why this could be?

Any particular issues? Economically, physically?

There was a landslip at Hatfield in 2013 which would explain perhaps the dip at some stations.

There was also a methodology change in the station usage counts for that year. South Yorkshire Public Transport Executive (PTE) tickets aren't in the same system as standard tickets so an "infill" is used with a different methodology. The methodology can get changed from time to time to try to give more accurate figures, though does result in year to year figures not being comparable. The change for the South Yorkshire PTE infill in the 2013 figures lowered total journeys by 1.3 million.

Discussed here at the time for the 2013 figures. Seems to have been a national change in the methods used. The Mersey electric services saw substantial increases at their end termini (some more than half as much again), while their adjacent intermediate stations saw significant declines, Add them all together and it was just a typical year-on-year variance, but the way they were attributed individually must have changed.
