Rebuilding Meridians as bi-mode is as unlikely as previous suggestions to modify Voyagers.
The primary issue is that there is no power distribution between vehicles in 22x. So you could convert a car to have a pantograph and a transformer, but you’re only going to get propulsion from that car...
They were comparisons with the costs of using a car club. Where most of these costs get bundled into the hire charges. Though it looks like the car club costings were rather underdone.
I have a colleague that's been doing similar calculations as their current car is getting towards the...
You’ve got a very cheap car club near you then.
Co-wheels in Oxford is £44/52/59 per day depending on the size of car, plus 23p/mile.
So if you manage those 2,000 miles, you’ve got just over 13 days to do it in a city car before you hit the running costs of the banger.
I mostly agree, though I think I'd argue against 4. Having VAR staffed by people who are also referees in other weeks means they have the experience out on the pitch and hopefully are making decisions consistent with what they would on the pitch.
If you look at the picture at the top of https://www.imeche.org/news/news-article/mind-the-gap-keeping-trains-and-platforms-level-is-a-'complex'-issue for example, you’ll see the train bulges out above the normal level of the platform.
Apparently it was an internal job by BBC Music this year. The last few years they've partnered with production companies. But the same company managed to pick Sam Ryder (2nd) and Mae Muller (25th).
Mostly.
Arms exports are usually performed under a licence from the government, which may include restrictions on how they're used. Though in practice there's nothing to stop them being used contrary to those conditions, it would tend to preclude repeat exports.

I don't know where you would find said document to get the raw figures, or if there is a newer version available.
Looking through https://www.oxford.gov.uk/parkandridesites the number of chargers at each site is 0/2/42/10/2.
Even at the best equipped site, you're not going to be able to leave it plugged in all day whilst you're at work.
Oxford may be an outlier with it's congestion issues, but offering workplace parking at all is being discouraged. The council hasn't imposed its levy yet, but my employer already has a 1.75% of salary charge for a peak time parking permit (which doesn't guarantee a space).
What source are you using for your growth figures? Although 2023 was flat (0.1%), 2022 had growth of 4.3%

As you note, they do have a variety of services with different lengths. The problem GWR has is getting the full fleet out. Are they definitely getting all the 9s out, or are they having to sub 5s or 2x5s onto those and the scheduled 2x5 services end up with only a single?
I think @DynamicSpirit was referring to the 'extra' time for turning around 8/12 over 4. The shutdown and setup are essentially going to be the same regardless of length, which would be the 5 minutes referred to previously. Unless there's something I'm missing, the only difference in timetabling...
