Forgot this was an option, thanks! I might do this potentially, especially looking at how much cheaper the Ryanair flight is my company will be thanking me.
Maybe if I throw my travel plans out there. The earliest I can get a train out of Southampton Central to head back to Glasgow is 1430 on Thursday 13th June. Loganair put me on the 1955 to Edinburgh but would mean I'd be home by 2245 via the bus service from the Airport. I'm contempating a flight...
Yeah I live in the west end of the city so it's only around 7 miles to the airport via taxi. The bus from Edinburgh Airport is an option, but they're looking to cut the amount of flights to Edinburgh from 4 to 3 as well over time. Depending on work event timings it may be quicker to get a flight...

So this is going to impact myself for work. There are very limited Easyjet flights, I hope they can take the route on more so than the 1 flight a day at present.
My options right now are flying to...
Looking to travel from Southampton to Cardiff on the 7th December which appears to be the date where both GWR and Cross Country have strikes.
Any idea if any services will run at all on this date? Or is it better to travel a day before or after this date? If I can't get a train on the 7th what...
Saw this on the Scotrail website
500 bus from Glasgow stations
Get the train to Glasgow Central or Glasgow Queen Street and hop on the AirportExpress 500 bus to Glasgow Airport. Only tickets marked to, from or via "Glasgow Air XBus" are valid on this bus service.
Are these tickets still being...
I was once on a train in Standard Premium earlier this year where a couple upgraded on the app and never got seat reservations in SP and lost their standard reservations. I'd contact Avanti on social media both before and after upgrading to ensure seats are definitely reserved before travel
Yes I saw these but I was enquiring as to which of these tickets definitely includes a free upgrade to first class. The standard and premium great Scot tickets seem to suggest this only qualifies you to travel in either standard or standard premium? The link provided above seems to be a...
Just wondering if anyone knows the difference between these rail tickets that I’ve seen on a corporate booking system
Standard Great Scot (I think this used to give you a free upgrade to First with Virgin Trains?)
Premium Great Scot (Avanti)
Scottish Exec exc underground (LNER)
LNER...
Hypothetical question
I have an Avanti free Standard Premium return ticket to use from Club Avanti. If the journey is delayed, would you still be entitled to delay repay?
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but does anyone know how long it’s meant to last and how long it would take for direct Glasgow to Euston services to resume (I.e. not diverted via Kilmarnock)
Does anyone know how busy the 900s will be during this week as a result of the train strikes? Likely travelling on Thursday and returning late on same day, not sure if I should book the £10 return or not in advance
