Splendid! So the PIS displays on the 465 in this video were the replacements to the original displays as they look shorter and have a black box housing.
Also from watching that video from 1994, the internal displays seem to have a differant font to the later display.

In my opinion the font looks the same, so does the box just it has been painted black.

Another curiosity of mine is did the original Julie Berry Class 365 announcements ever get reused for the Class 387s? As the “ Calling At” message sounds comparable to that of a Class 387, however the way she said “Finsbury Park” sounded completely different to ”Finsbury Park on the 387? My question is do phrases or words from previous recordings get reused on newer recordings, or not?

I don’t think so. What is more likely is that the 365 system was used as a model for the Electrostars to be based on. Further evidence of this is the way some of the Electrostar announcements are similar to those found on the 365s - eg new timetable.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I bought another 365 PIS system controller but it was from a Connex unit as all of the destinations are from the Connex route, unlike my other controller which never had any Connex destinations instead just Great northern route destinations.

However on the side of my new controller it has a bombardier sticker which says "14/08/13", which is interesting as Connex stopped using 365's quite a bit before 2013 so why would they keep it with its Connex destinations.

Perhaps this particular controller came from 365502 which was loaned from Connex to WAGN back in 2002 - before the rest came about a year later. The Great Northern destinations may have just been added on top (perhaps with different codes). Here's a photo:-

That could possibly be an explanation, however I have been having a look at all of its codes and I have not found a single one with destinations for the Great northern route, every single one has been Connex unlike my other controller where they are all from the great northern route.

How many codes have you tried? Perhaps try higher numbers e.g. 501, 502, 801, 802 etc. If the unit was in use in 2013, it will have been used certainly by FCC. My only other idea is that for some reason the software has been reverted to its original state for some reason.

I'll keep looking as currently I have done 100, 200, 300 etc, also 150, 250, 350 etc.

Another possibility to answer why it has the original codes is that it may have been kept as a spare in storage so a database update was never done.

Does explain the version number being V1.1 and not V1.2 like my other one.
