HINT... At Farthinghoe, there was a line that led on to the Northampton and Banbury Junction Railway which by-passed the Brackley area and the first closed station to be met on that line was.....

Helmdon.

Unfortunately, there were Helmdon stations on both the Northampton & Banbury District Railway (the line we are now on) and the Great Central Railway London Extension Line and Culworth was on the latter of thise two lines.

HINT...the next closed station on the Northampton and Banbury District Railway begins with the letter "W".

P.S. Wasn't the "other" Helmdon station briefly known, just before the time of its closure, as 'Helmdon Village'?

This just leaves the final closed station on this journey to be named which was very short-lived with passenger services commencing in October 1869 and ceasing in February 1871. The station handled occasional racecourse meeting train services until 1908.
