Tunnel at Pontrilas between Hereford and Abergavenny, but it's only 37 yards long. Another just past Ludlow station = 134 yards. And there's the Dinmore tunnels between Leominster and Hereford at 1054 yards.

Is Llanvihangel the highest point on the line?

Yes, looks to be. Summit at Llanvihangel which is situated between Hereford and Abergavenny (about four miles from the latter). Appears to be at or around 500 feet above sea level. Maybe someone has a slightly more accurate figure.

It looks as if the highest point for the whole route is just south of Church Stretton, at 613 feet above sea level. Llanvihangel is the highest point between Hereford and Newport.

I'll defer to that. If memory serves, there's a plaque confirming the 613 feet elevation on the Shrewsbury bound platform at Church Stretton station. Definitely a hundred foot or so higher than at Llanvihangel Summit.

Anyone aware of any tunnels on the Marches Line other than the ones already mentioned upthread in post #2?
