An issue has come up in a post in this thread that we’d like to take a moment to clarify.
Probably for fairly obvious reasons we are not particularly comfortable with a situation like that happening away from the main forum.
We would always expect members who want to offer any kind of advice in the disputes section to do so publicly and in the relevant thread, where what’s being suggested can be evaluated by the staff team and the forum members who have the relevant knowledge, experience and information to contribute to this section and who are in a position to evaluate and advise on any errors or potential misinformation.
This is as I’m sure you’d agree, extremely important for the safe running of this section.
