I'll have a stab at the 94, Piccadilly Circus-Acton
Not the 205 (sorry I missed that earlier). Only 8 buses an hour in the mornign peak.
You have to wonder why
207 Hayes By Pass-Westfield.
H37??
In that case, lets try the W3.
Not bad for a route [the 205] that only started in 2003, replacing a limited stop half-hourly service (it was 6bph back then)
This could take a while
I shall therefore change my previous attempt ever-so-slightly - D8. Among all the existing letters, I feel that D is the most likely, especially in the absence of a letter specific to Croydon (unless T, the tram feeder set, counts).
I tried the W3 in post 280 and it was wrong. Apparently not a high enough peak freqeuncy. Is it the W3?
I'm stumped

Oh, and the most frequent T-route is the T32 with 8bph.
The W7?
Do you mean T31, T32 runs 4bph.
I shall have a think tomorrow. For now, I have no idea so I shall through a 'random' number into the ring. 23?
